Volunteer Information

Our volunteers are the heart of SWFDA and your help and dedication is so appreciated.    

As an all-volunteer organization, SWFDA could not offer schooling shows and other events without members who are willing to give SWFDA a few hours of volunteer service each year. SWFDA asks each rider to give at least 8 hours of volunteer service during the competition year in order to be eligible to enjoy the recognition of receiving an End of Year Award. These hours go a long way toward ensuring that SWFDA can continue to provide quality shows, events and services to its members. If a rider is unable to do their volunteer service, an immediate family member may perform the 8 hours of service for them, just be sure it is noted in the volunteer notebook so the correct person is credited for those hours. It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure their volunteer hours have been recorded correctly. A link will be provided to view hours logged once the season begins. **Silver Sponsorship (Alternative to Volunteer Service Requirement)
Sponsorship at the Silver Sponsor Level or above ($100 or more) will meet the Volunteer Service or Sponsorship End of Year Award eligibility requirement.
